Acai is a superfood berry from Brazil also known as the Weeping berry or Purple Gold. Similar to a bold taste of a black berry or a raspberry it has a bitter aftertaste. This nutrient dense super fruit can help boost brain functions, reduce cholesterol and fight cancer. With its high levels of antioxidants it can also help battle diabetes and heart disease. It is also a great source of Vitamin A, amino acids, and omega3 fatty acids.
